Recently a photo about UMIDIGI A1 PRO leaked out from Chinese biggest social media Weibo. The leaked photo shows that the UMIDIGI A1 runs with the newest Android 8.1 system. Telling from UI system, the phone runs a stock Android with marked navigational bars. If you watching carefully, you could even notice that in the statue bar there are two 4G signal and they can work simultaneously.

More information says that the UMIDIGI A1 PRO has 5.0-inch size with 5.5-inch full screen, and it also supports global bands since UMIDIGI is heading to broader international market. Temporarily, the budget smartphone’s processor is remain unknown. But it’s more likely to be equipped with the most updated MTK6739, 2GB RAM with 16GB ROM. Reliable source says the price would be under 100$. So we could wait a budget full screen smartphone with great grip. Just as leaked photo says, this smartphone would be the best entry-level 4G smartphone.

The SuperD D1 is an example of these niche devices. It may look like any other smartphone, but it does something that most of the competition can’t. That is, 3D videos and games, without the need for 3D glasses.

But is it all a gimmick? is this enough to persuade people to have a good look at this device, and better yet, actually buy it? We spent some time with the phone, and here’s what we think.

The D1’s design reminds me of Xiaomi’s Redmi smartphones. The metal back houses fingerprint sensor and comes with a matte finish which can get a little slipper when holding the phone with one hand. The camera potrudes, similar to the ASUS Zenfone 3. Then there’s the again, awkwardly placed speaker at the back, which gets covered when the phone is placed flat on the ground.

Up front is a 5.5-inch display covered with 2.5D curved glass, along with the capacitive keys, and the two front cameras (Which we’ll talk about later).

The SuperD D1 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a balanced color temperature and good contrast. There’s no over saturation here like what you’ll find in an AMOLED display, but it’s not boring as well. Icons and text also remain visible in direct sunlight, provided that brightness is maxed, which is a good thing.

Xiaomi launches updated Redmi Note 5 with brighter AI camera,

Xiaomi has launched an updated version of the Redmi Note 5 Pro in China. Called just Redmi Note 5, this new variant features is basically the Indian Redmi Note 5 Pro with some crucial improvements.

First, the similarities. Both models have the same 5.99-inch, 2160x1080 pixel IPS LCD panel, Snapdragon 636 chipset, 3/4/6GB of RAM with a 32/64GB of storage and a 4000mAh battery.

But the 12MP rear camera now has an F/1.9 lens compared to F/2.2 on the Indian model, larger 1.4μm pixels compared to 1.25μm, and also has dual pixel PDAF for faster focusing. The 5MP secondary camera on the back is identical though.

On the front, the 20MP camera from the Indian model has been replaced with a 13MP sensor. The cameras are also AI driven, with things such as portrait mode, beauty mode and face unlock being improved with AI, although that's likely the same as on the Indian model even if it's not marketed as such.

The Chinese variant also has a USB-C connector and support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 whereas the Indian model ships with a microUSB and Quick Charge 2.0.

Lastly, the Chinese model comes with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box running underneath MIUI 9 and also support for Project Treble while the Indian model ships with Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

The new Redmi Note 5 will be available in Black, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold and prices start at RMB 1099 ($173).

The Korean company announced the SM-G9298, a flip phone with dual screens and a Snapdragon 820 SoC. That's pretty high end for a flip phone. But here is a much more affordable alternative---The Vkworld T2 Plus, the first Android phone with

VKworld T2 Plus is based on 64-bit MediaTek MT6737, which includes a quad-core CPU with a clock speed of 1.3 GHz, graphics accelerator ARM Mali-T720 and a memory controller LPDDR3.It also sports a 4.2-inch display with a 1280 x 768 resolution on both sides. Both screens will be covered by Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. The Vkworld T2 Plus also packs a titanium body just like the Essential Phone, that makes it more durable than your regular device. This is the first time we will hear of a flip phone with a titanium body.

As it was revealed above, the device has a removable 2500 mAh battery which has the possibility of fast charging using MediaTek PumpExpress 2.0 technology. Although the largest capacity is missing, the manufacturer guarantees 8-10 hours of talk time and up to 70 hours of backup time.

Elephone U and U Pro: all market trends fit into two super-sized ranges

If we take a look at the trends that drive the high ranges of the market for almost two years now, we can find them, adapted to the category of phones, in the new pair of Elephone phones. We have curved AMOLED screens with 18: 9 format like those of Samsung, the double camera with Portrait mode used and adhered to and driven by Apple, and we also have the Face Unlock that OnePlus mounted in its 5T . Two very complete mobiles that land now in the catalog of the Chinese manufacturer.

We can start talking about its screen, an AMOLED panel with a double curve and an elongated 18: 9 format that reaches up to 6 inches. The resolution chosen is FullHD +, a FullHD stretched up to 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. A screen that will count, in the software section, with the help of a side menu very similar to Samsung.

For the processor, the only variant between both models together with the size of the battery. In the Elephone U we will have a Helio P23 at 2.3GHz while for the Elephone U Pro we have opted for the Snapdragon 660 from Qualcomm. Two good brains for different versions of RAM and storage: we will have 4 and 6GB for RAM and 64 and 128GB of internal memory . Both expandable with a microSD of up to 256GB.

UMIDIGI S2 Lite --- World First Chinese Mobile Phone with Android Oreo 8.1 $149.99 On Sale

Umidigi is exemplary in terms of the operating system and assured for its newly introduced S2 Lite an update to Android 8.1 Oreo next May. The entry-level Phable t comes with Android 7.0 Nougat factory. The price-performance ratio of the Umidigi S2 Lite is quite neat, so there is the equivalent of $149( with Coupon CICS2L) , an intelligent face recognition, a dual-main camera and a 5100 mAh strong battery.

The name suffix "Lite" already indicates that this mobile device is a slimmed-down version of the standard model. First of all the positive news: The 5100 mAh strong battery was not deleted. Even the 6-inch screen with 1440 times 720 pixels is unchanged. However, the up to 1.5 GHz clocking processor MediaTek  MT6750 works more leisurely than the Helio P20 (maximum 2.3 GHz clock) in the big brother. Memory remains at 4 GB RAM, internal memory has been reduced from 64 GB Flash to 32 GB Flash. Furthermore, an upgrade via microSD card is possible.

The rear cameras resolve with 16 and 5 megapixels and have an omnivision sensor. The original Umidigi S2 is equipped with a solution consisting of 13 and 5 megapixels and Sony IMX258 sensor. According to the manufacturer, a highlight of the S2 Lite is the Face ID 2nd Generation baptized face recognition. This procedure is designed to scan multiple areas of the face and to work quickly and reliably.

Meiigoo Mate 10, A Chinese Decent Clone of Huawei Mate 10&Mate 10 Pro

We all know, the Chinese market clones phones is no secret. Since Galaxy S8 last iPhone X, all major manufacturers eventually end up with a low-cost counterparts. Today, nothing less than the Huawei Mate 10, the last giant Chinese high-end. Lol, today I will introduce Meiigoo mate 10. 

After presenting the Meiigoo note 8, according to rumors, it seems that the Chinese manufacturer is preparing to launch his new job. The Meiigoo Mate10, as you can see with the same name, will be a clone of Huawei Mate 10. Given its special back cover of the latest Chinese manufacturers of high-end, it is not surprising that another company "is her inspiration" from his style .The new smartphone would appropriate all (or nearly all) to the back of his illustrious colleague.
